We hope that you have been moved by our cause and the progress we have made: in 2017-2018, nearly 1 in 4 of PAHK mentees received offers from Oxford and Cambridge, compared to the overall Hong Kong average of ~10% and over 70% of our mentees were invited to be interviewed by an Oxbridge College (the Hong Kong average is <50%). But there is still much work to be done – and we hope that you would join us in the journey towards making higher education more accessible by lending us your helping hand.
As a non-profit organisation, we try to minimise most of our monetary costs and limit our spending to the strictly inevitable. In order to make our admissions programme truly free of charge, we cover all the registration fees for the centralised admission system (UCAS) and entrance examinations for mentees with financial needs. For such cases, we spend:
£24UCAS
registration |
$1,450Admission test
registration |
$2,010IELTS
|
This rounds up to roughly HK$3,700 for a mentee who decide to follow through with the application. In order to make the application process accessible to mentees with financial needs, we need endorsements from our sponsors. The existence of our organisation rests solely on the goodwill and generosity of sponsors who recognise and support our work.
