Testimonial

When I received a letter offering the Swire Scholarship in February 2017, I was thrilled. Apart from paying for each year of my education, it also covers my everyday costs which means I have one less thing to worry about. With this financial support, it makes trips to scientific conferences more feasible. This means I'm able to learn about exciting, cutting-edge developments in Biochemistry whilst further expanding my network. Another interesting thing is that it sets up a benchmark for me to aspire to - one of the previous Swire scholars mentioned that before him, none of them had ever received anything less than a First for their overall degree, so here's hoping I don't disrupt that trend!

- Yee Kwan Law, Swire Scholar 2017
